BIG TIME :)

My girls mainly my little one is OBSESSED with Big Time Rush! I took them to the rodeo when BTR was set to preform. They loved it! It was a great day full of carnival rides, games, food and entertainment!

Next I hear that James Maslow is set to appear at a children's festival that raises money to help abused children. He is doing a meet & greet but will cost $$. I generally don't do this but Big H is going to a concert with a friend so I try to keep things even with the girls when they earn it. BTR is coming in July and that is way less but as luck has it we will be on vacation... So I splurged and off Little H & I went to spend the day in downtown Houston. After a very long day of seeing the festival & waiting, her moment came. He was super sweet to her and tried his best help her enjoy her moment.

Waller Legends

This Saturday Mr. H played an exhibition football game with past Football Legends from his high school. Mr. H was kinda of a big deal in his days. They retired his number when graduated and made a shrine of his jersey in the old high school halls. I tease him all the time he was the Al Bundy of Waller :0 although he is far from the shoe salesman. LOL :) LOVE YOU #99!!!!

The guys had a blast playing Brenham their old rival. The stands were just as pumped watching these men play and have one of the best days!! Memories to last a life time for sure!!!

St. Valentine's Day

Love is in the air :)

I love this holiday even though it is rumored ;) to be a Hallmark holiday! Regardless of how it came about I still heart the idea of spending on day out of our busy lives to stop and smell the roses with those you love!

I kicked off the festivities with a special run to the store to pick up lunch material for the littles that are pink! Chocolate was considered and accepted because chocolate is a girls 2nd best friend :)

The girls had a choice of strawberries with fresh blueberries, chocolate covered strawberries, peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches, red lip sugar cookies, strawberry or chocolate milk, and their favorite HOT Cheetos... I have to admit those are by far not my bff... but it's about my girls and what they like ad making the happy if that's possible :)

HAPPY VALENTINES!!!! May love be contagious and fill your heart and life rather you have someone special to share it with or if your solo!!! Love does not discriminate!

Cy-Woods Homecoming

This weekend was a blast!

My niece was over to celebrate the weekend with Big H. Friday we were at the school football game. The kids ran around with frinds while Mr. H & I watched the game. Little H was alseep just after half time :) Most of the girls wore their mums their dats gave hem... It was true Texas school spirit !

Black Friday 2011

Oh sweet baby Jesus! It's getting close... only 6 weeks 2 days and 12 hrs to go... I can hard stand it!! :) I'm already watching for the ads to be posted online and patiently waiting for the Walmart secret sale the Amazon Cyber Monday sales. I'm not sure I will be able to wait.... The panic is setting in and i need to SHOP!!!!

I long for this day each year. I generally go alone so I can make that mad dash for the $1 gloves or the $10 remote controlled trucks. LOL :) Last year I was able to recruit a great friend of mine, Jen. She was rookie and I may have corrupted her. We had so much fun standing line pushing our way through crowds. Crashing in our beds at 9 am to a dead sleep that lasted for hours. She has a job this year so I'm praying and wishing on every fallen eye lash and shooting star that she can go.

Softball Cheer Softball Tennis

I can't believe it have been over a month since my last post.. Time has flown by yet I barely remember any of it :/

Both my girls have been so busy with school softball cheer and tennis.

Big H has won her last 3 out of 4 matches this season and Little h has been cheering her heart out! Both are playing softball and let me tell ya I'm tired :)

I've been busy with spirit gifts, wrist mums, glitter headbands, bows and team shirts. This past week it was my turn for snacks for the cheer squad... The girls loved it!!!

I found these darling little cups for 32 cents each!!! I love making big splashes while saving the cash!!! LOL ;)

I have so much happening this week that i can hardly wait to tell you all about it.. But I will !! :)

It's Cheer Time

Well the cheer season is getting off to a great start. The moms are getting everything ready for our little cheer leaders and they will be adorable and have a great time.

We bought their shirts from Justice. How lucky are we to live in Texas and we were able to find these most adorable shirts for our girls spirit shirts.

We then had the girls names put on the back of them.... HOW ADORABLE!!!! Another mother (on of Little H's best friend's mom) helped me make these precious bows for the squad. LOVE the bling!!!

Our first game is in 2 weeks ... We still have so much more to do... next week I will post our cheer buckets & shoe poms. :)

First day of school

It was back to school this past week.. YEAH!!! I mean aww so sad summer is over..... NOT!!! LOL

I offically have a sophomore and a 1st grader. Here is sweet Little h on her big first day back... i was in sucha rush i forget to snap one of Big H. But i guess that would have been like so embarressing to get her to pose.. LOL.

We took a family vacation this past week to La Veta Pass...... Boy was it GORGEOUS!!! Waking up to this

was way TO HARD!!! I don't understand how I was suppose to open my gorgeous brown eyes to this then expected to to go home.... CRAZY! But not as crazy as Mr. H pulling a bubba moment. Yes that's a bear.. LOL. and he is real! We saw one every night about the same time... Very scary but so fun!! There was horse back rinding in which I got a huge splinter in my butt.... No questions will be answered how that happened. :) We caught fish and saw a real lice police shooting!!! LOL Again no questions will be answered :)

Sweet 16!

My dear sweet niece turned 16 this week.... I arrived at her house singing 16 candles doing the dance Steve Martin did in only the BEST movie EVER - Father of the Bride attic scene. He has found an old tux from the 70's.. putting it on he is thrilled it still fits. LOVE that movie!!!

So hard to believe this little girl is now 16. My heart melts when I think back to these days... Why doesn't it seem so long ago? :/

Jus Mac

This place was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! You can see their menu here. Big H, Little H & I took Papa (my dad) here today. This joint opened at noon. We got there at 12:20 and the line was to the door and no tables! It was so fun :)

They specialize in Mac & Cheese... And boy oh boy do they ever have a menu!! We ordered the All American with bread crumb topping, this was just a regular plain Jane cheddar mac.. it was good! We also ordered the Chili Cheese.. This one was made with chili of course but topped with Frito's.. OMG!!! This was Big h's fave ;)

The 3rd one with was Bacon Bliss.. MY FAVE... This was ouey gooey cheesy with huge chunks of bacon... HEAVEN!!!

The last one we choose was The Pitt Master.. Mac & Cheese infused with BBQ.. This was Little H's Fave.... I forgot to take a picture of this one but trust me - SO worth the try!

One of the things I liked most about this place was everyone ordered the regular size and shared :) The 4 regulars we ordered wasmore than enough for 4 people. No one went home hungry.. We even had left overs :) Can we say mid-night snack LOL

Birthday's in the making

Little H has a birthday about 2 weeks after one of her best friends, Haleigh.

This year, they girls have gotten together and will have a roller skate party.

We have rented out the roller rink so the girls will have only their friends and family there.. How lucky are these two little divas?! :)

We had custom invites made that scream 80's :) The girls are so excited about turning 7 and celebrating with all their firends and family! I'll post more after the details have been completed :) It's going to be totally RAD!

One Hot Weekend

This weekend Big H had her first ZATS. Thats a Tennis Tournement that is done outside of school to practice and inprove your skills.. As hot as it was (104 is what the high was) she did great!!!

Inbetween games Mr. H took us here...

They had the BEST seafood buffet!!! Totally delicious!!!! We had a window veiw, so the girls were able to look out on to the Port of Houston and see tug boats roll in. Even saw the coast guard fly in and speed out :)

Great Finds!

Pottery Barn is one of my favorite stores. Especially when they have a sale. I found these today :)

They are tiny little bird nest. They came six to a bag. Normally $16 marked to $6.49 ringing up $2.37 LOVE IT!!! How cute will they be on a dinner table next to these dishes I have in my china cabinet?? :)
I Love china and crystal. I love changing patterns for the seasons!

9 Fabulous Years

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary. I got these!!! Aren't they gorgeous!!!I can't believe it's been 9 years already.. It seams like just yesterday I met Mr. H. Here is a picture from the first few months of us dating. My oh my do we look so young... And my hair!!! it was so short.. I loved it!!! Not sure I have the nerve to go that short again :) I love this picture of Mr H & I.. It's one of my favorites.. My heart tears up each time i look at it (it's on my end table) This is the only copy I have of this. It is stuck to the glass and wax from a candle has melted on the front of the glass. If I try to peel the picture off it will rip... So there it sets on my table globed with wax and discolored.... But I display it proudly!!

Behind the scenes Texas Style

A few weeks ago I had an awesome opportunity to go after hours to the Houston Museum of Natural Science to the Texas Exhibit. WOW.. This was amazing! I'm still learning to use my camera and the trick shots :) After taking several hundred pictures I think I was able to capture a few good ones.. I keep hearing that if you get one great shot out of 36 then your doing great. Even though I'm getting one good one out of 36, I still wish I could get 1 of 1.. That's my OCD and desire to always be perfect.. Which I am so far from - LOL There is so much to remember and do when taking pictures.. I think I'm better at the moments where I'm not rushed. I can take my time and look for those angles aperture and which lens I should use... I tried to use my 55-200mm lens but I think that was over kill. So I quickly switched to my 18-55mm. Much better.. My 35mm was more difficult for me to use, still not use to that one.
